About Mama Jojo

I'm Jojo, I live in Ware, Hertfordshire with my partner and two children. I first became a Mama in 2016 and then again in 2018. My younger years were spent studying and travelling the world,  before settling back in the UK and carving a career managing cafes and restaurants.

After the birth of my children I was driven, by my own experiences, to pursue a new career as a Breastfeeding Counsellor. I returned to university in September 2018 to study a Birth and Beyond foundation degree with NCT. Through my formal training I discovered my passion for all aspects of postnatal support and the need to change the narrative in the UK on how this period is valued. As such, I trained to become a Postnatal Doula

I am an active member of the antenatal and postnatal community, working with many local businesses. I run weekly timetable of postnatal support with baby massage and postnatal yoga classes,  along with hosting 6 week social in Hertford - the must do postnatal course. I also run a weekly social and support group in Ware, The Milk Bar, giving mothers somewhere to go, chat, get support and meet other local parents.

My aim is to walk alongside you in your journey to parenthood - meeting you at pregnancy yoga or antenatal sessions, being there for postnatal and feeding support in the early days, through to facilitating the groups you attend and finally parting ways as I prepare you for introducing solid foods to your baby, around 6 months. Offering you a consistent. non-judgmental presence on the roller coaster ride  of the first 6 months.
